In celebration of 15th X-Games, the Digiplastic team helped launch the ESPN Motomegaboom game. The game invites the audience’s Facebook friends be part of the action and compete against each other in a virtual Motocross Freestyle competition. Motomegaboom integrates music, visual language, and the branding of X-Games into a singular online game. It is heavily integrated with Facebook, allowing users to share the experience on Facebook and play with their friends on Facebook.
For this project, we paid careful attention to making the music part of the overall experience. We synchronized the music to what’s happening visually–playing and fading–providing a seamless experience that flows together. The music reflects the Motocross lifestyle, along with the visual language, which we craft through the way objects interact and engagement through animation.
